Any Given Child Designation by the Kennedy Center

Any Given Child seeks to bring access, balance, and equity to each child’s art education, using an affordable model that combines the resources of the school district, local arts groups, and the Kennedy Center. This program creates a Long-Range Arts Education Plan for Students Grades K-8. We are in the first few months of the planning process!

Creative Classroom Pilot

This project supports the district’s strategic goal of equitable access to and support of quality fine arts and creative learning instruction as a part of a strong core academic curriculum for all students. Grounded in research suggesting students attending arts-rich schools experience improved academic achievement, pro-social behaviors and college attainment, the Creative Classroom Initiative will develop a demonstration model for “arts-rich schools” at the High School, Middle School and Elementary School levels using the McCallum HS vertical team strand as a development site.
